  • Olive Gardens and a Family Photo

So... we went on a date and hmm... would you believe it?
Our first time ever at Olive Gardens!
Now is that funny or what? Never been there before?
Well, no, the truth is that our family never really ate out much and so...

Any way, we enjoyed it and thanks to Mom and Dad Weaver and the aunties
we got to enjoy it alone.
The pictures show you our menu choices. Mmmm
Shrimp Caprese, Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, Italian Cream Sodas,
and ... I forgot the name of the desert, something Tiramisu?
I gave Johnny his first haircut with the hair clippers today and it was tough
getting him to hold still enough.
He's getting so big. Where'd my baby go?

Here's a Sunday Morning snapshot of us that Roger took.

Okay, one more... Bath time! He can make quite the splash!
In the tub he's like a slippery little fish.
    So much fun!

  • That Rare Night Out with My Honey
    (with my 'new' picnic basket)

I found this cute little red and white lined picnic basket at Goodwill and couldn't resist it.
It conjured up fun little images of romantic picnics and I knew we'd have one with it.
So one evening I asked Mom to watch Johnny for us. I hustled around finding all I needed for the little picnic basket before Darren got home from work. Hot dogs, buns, ketchup and mustard, graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, and oh yes, I'll throw in this delightful little heart tea light holder and candle... hmm the sticks must go and yes, some charcoal...
At last Darren got home and we took off together holding hands for one of those times so important to keeping romance kindled, a just us time.
    And it was FUN!

  • At Long Last! A New Post!

I know it's been a very long time since I've posted. I just haven't found extra time to get on and blog or add pictures. But I've gotten several requests to do so, and so finally I'm just making time.
Here are a few pictures that Darren took last week of John next.

I got this little hat for him and I personally think it's adorable. Mom doesn't care that much for it.
She thinks it's too big. Guess there's differences in tastes, so if you don't like it, you'll have to wait for another picture some other time, 'cause today's pictures um... feature it? :)

    John at eight months

He's pulling up on things and walking holding onto our hands but not by himself yet.

    Like the photography?
Just some random shots with Darren's new camera(downsized for the web, of course)
Darren is hoping to get something going business-wise along that line. He's got the registered name, the equipment, everything he needs except the customers...

  • Home on the Range

We went out to visit Darren's folks in Wyoming from June 28 - July 5.
While there we spent the weekend of the fourth in Colorado caming with Ada May
and her children. It brought back so many memories
I took this picture at Ada's place.

    Cutest Cowboy Ever

Darren took me fourwheeling. We went some wild places. Then he wanted to pose for this one.
It's not as steep as some, and I may look placid,
but... I'm hanging on for dear life! He's having the time of his life, can't you tell?
It's a guy thing. They're made that way and we love 'em.

About Me

  • I love Jesus! He's the most important part of my life. I long to have my life be such a picture of Him that others are drawn to Him by seeing His reflection in me. Next to my relationship with God comes my man - and he's WONDERFUL! I never knew before the depth of relationship a Christian marriage can bring, or how truly satisfying and fulfilling it would be to love and be loved in this way! God had truly blessed me! And now I've a new bundle of joy to keep me super busy..... I'm an artist, but art is taking back seat now that I'm a mommy.

Hey Lisa, where did you get your maternity dress pattern? I just found out that I am pregnant yesterday, so I am looking into getting some patterns. Around here it is just about helpless to find any patterns, so I have to order them. Thanks for your help ~ Rachel
